Hi. I'm Jason.

I'm a steel mill operator and a veteran. On the side, I'm building BIG Forge — a local AI crew that runs on owned hardware with no cloud dependencies. The whole stack lives in my office, on my electricity, under my control.

BIG Forge isn't a chatbot demo. It's a set of agents and pipelines built to identify and capitalize on real income streams. The current rig is a workstation called Prometheus, running dual Intel Arc GPUs and a stack of local models — qwen, gemma, and a few others depending on the job.

This site is where I write about what I'm building. What's working, what isn't, what surprised me. Operator perspective, no marketing voice. If you're trying to do something similar — running AI on hardware you own, for small-business problems that don't need a hyperscaler — there might be something useful here.

Right now I'm building tools for small construction businesses: AP automation, lead research, and the kinds of integration problems contractors actually hit. The articles will track that work as it happens.
